Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a worldwide fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
It’s a place where anyone who wants to stop drinking can find support, community, and a new way of life — one day at a time.
There are no dues or fees to attend AA meetings. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
AA is not affiliated with any religion, politics, organization, or institution. It’s a program based on 12 spiritual principles that have helped millions find freedom from alcohol addiction.
AA provides a safe space where people can be honest without judgment. Members support each other by sharing real stories and practical tools that help them stay sober. Many find hope just by hearing, “You’re not alone.”
Whether you're just beginning your journey or looking for continued support, Central MN AA has in-person and online meetings every day of the week. Recovery begins when you reach out.
People gather and talk, and there is a social air in the room once the meeting is over. Some may introduce themselves to you and offer their help or share their experiences getting sober. While many members find this time after the meeting valuable, it is up to you if you want to stay and socialize.
